You’d never know it by looking at this STUNNING couple that it was below freezing outside. But besides freezing our tails off, everything else was perfection. And that sunset light? SWOON!!
If you would have told me 15 years ago that I would be living in Utah where it’s freaking cold outside half the year, I would have called you crazy. However, this so cal girl has made herself right at home in a small mountain town. I’ve been in Utah for 11 years now and I honestly can’t imagine living anywhere else. Of course, that just means I pretty much barricade myself in my house from November to May every year. I rarely like to venture out in the cold. I don’t ski, snowboard, snowshoe, snowmobile or anything else like that. I can’t even comprehend why other people do. But, I WILL venture out for a great photo shoot. I mean, come on. You just can’t get images like this in the summertime. So I bundle up with my four hundred layers and my heated jacket (yes, I’m a giant baby who owns a heated jacket) and suck it up for an hour or two of delicious light and gorgeous couples. This particular shoot was in north Salt Lake, and I was so cold afterwards that I literally had the heater on high and just about full blast for the entire one hour drive home. And when I got home, I changed into warm pjs and climbed under my heated blanket. Yeah, I know. I’m a spoiled giant baby.
So if you want an outdoor session in the snow, I’m down. I’ll look like a bit like the kid from A Christmas Story all bundled up, but I’ll be there. With my heated jacket. ;)
