I was offered the chance to be the second photographer at a wedding at the Salt Lake City Temple. I was super excited because I’ve visited the Temple grounds a couple of times and it’s just gorgeous there. I’ve shot multiple weddings, but never an LDS wedding at a Temple, which is a little different as you can’t go in and photograph the ceremony. So I was eager to shadow another photographer and see how it all flows, and get some tips on the best place to take photos on the grounds.
And it couldn’t have been a more beautiful day.
I had so much fun! The couple were young and bubbly and simply adorable. I also loved how the main photographer gave me a chance to do my own thing, looking for different angles and a new perspective. It was awesome being able to be creative and search for a point of view that hasn’t been shot before, and all of the pressure was off because I was just there to learn and capture some extra images.
I have another temple wedding next month, and now I’m all the more excited for it! Bring on wedding season!!
